Madness Etc & Musical Musings

Okay, so for the past few days I’ve been trying to figure out what I’m gonna do with this here tumblr thingy, because I don’t like the idea of it being just kind of an aimless no point blagoblog type oddity.  Of course, the downside is I haven’t been able to think of a single goddamn thing that I would like to pursue.

So I could do a whole bunch of reviews, be it of music, web comics, video games, sofas, jam, whatever.  But I’m a terrible reviewer.  My reviews tend to be “I liked/hated this” “… Why?” “Because I liked/hated this.”  That doesn’t really make for a good review.  So that’s out (though reviewing jam could be funny).

Maybe I could do some sort of study of something instead, try and break it down and figure out what makes it tick.  Deconstruct various genres of music, or stories, or something.  But frankly that seems like a lot of work for this silly place.  So that’s out (for now).

Perhaps I could write short stories and post ‘em here.  Or maybe some other form of media.  Though that idea doesn’t really sit well with me for one reason or another, so it’s out as well.

I guess the one thing I could do is what I simply do best (on the internet at least): rant.  Now that’s an original idea right there.  I mean, who’s ever heard of a ranter on the internet?  No one, that’s who (self delusion is the best kind of delusion, don’t you think).  So that’s just what I’ll do.  And hey, this might as well become my first mini rant thingy for the tumbl-thing-r.  So with that I shall say “oh hell, why not” and leave it at that (for now).
